Biography
Ambassador Matthew Bryza completed a 23-year U.S. diplomatic career in 2012, culminating as Ambassador to Azerbaijan.
Earlier, he served as a White House and Senior State Department official focusiong on Cyprus, Turkey, Greece, Central Asia, the South Caucasus, and Eurasian energy security. As the Cold War ended, he served in Poland and Russia.
Currently, Ambassador Bryza is a board member of energy, mining, and telecommunications companies operating from the Caspian Region to Texas, as well as the Jamestown Foundation thinktank in Washington, DC.
Bryza is a frequent commentator in global and regional media.
