Biography

Mr. Christodoulos Protopapas was born in Limassol in 1961. In 1986 he was graduated with Honours (9.73) from the Electrical Engineering Department of the National Technical University of Athens
From 1990 to 1996 he worked as Technical Advisor to the Archbishopric of Cyprus, where he was responsible for the Design, Building and Installation of the first private TV station in Cyprus and in 1995 has established “Logos Net” which was the first Internet Service Provider in Cyprus. From August 1996 till August 1999, he was appointed Director General of “O Logos” Radio and TV Channel.
He has been Chief Executive Officer of Hellas Sat, the national satellite operator in Greece and Cyprus since 2001. He was elected Chairman of the European Satellite Operators (ESOA) for two terms (2007 and 2010).
From 2008 is Member of the International Committee of United Nations for Emergency Telecommunications and from July 2022 he was elected as Member of the Board of Directors of SSPI.
