Biography
Andreas Stavrou received his BSc in electrical engineering and MSc in power stations from Leningrad State Technical University, USSR in 1988 and 1990 respectively and his PhD degree on Condition Monitoring of Electrical Machines from Aberdeen University, Scotland in 1995. He joined the Electricity Authority of Cyprus in 1996, where now holds the position of Assistant Manager in the Transmission Substations, Construction, Protection and Maintenance department of the Transmission Network Owner’s Unit, where he is now involved in new technology Specifications, Unit short and long-term business plans, Project management, procurement, tenders, Transmission Grid Testing, maintenance and protection policies.
