Biography
Studied Mechanical Engineering (BEng (Hons)) at Imperial College, University of London. A Chartered Accountant – Fellow (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). He participated in several leadership development programs of PwC including programs organized in collaboration with INSEAD and Harvard Business School.
Commenced his career in 1990 in PwC London, returned to PwC Cyprus in December 1993 where he became a Partner in 2001 and Chairman and CEO from 2012 to 2021. From July 2014 to December 2021, he was Member of the Leadership Team of PwC Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA) representing fifteen European territories.
Beyond his leadership roles, he concentrated on the provision of services to organisations in the Financial Services and Energy industries. He participated in the drafting of the study on the long-term economic strategy for Cyprus “Vision 2035”. Upon the conclusion of his second five-year term as Chairman and CEO, and given the limitation of two terms, he left from PwC.
As of June 2022, he is the Chairman of the Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency (Invest Cyprus). He is also a member of the Council of the University of Cyprus, a member of the National Board for Research and Innovation, member of the Board of Junior Achievement Cyprus, member of the Board of Nicosia for Art Ltd and the ICAEW Contact Member for Cyprus.
