Katerina Stephanou

Katerina Stephanou is the founder of Step Up Stop Slavery, an NGO based in Cyprus committed to disrupting the business model of human slavery through a multi-stakeholder approach.

Katerina is a compliance consultant specializing in modern slavery and business and human rights. She is a licensed solicitor in both Cyprus and the UK, having practiced maritime and insurance law in Ince & Co London and corporate law and compliance in Grant Thornton, Cyprus. She is also an ACAMS Anti Money Laundering Specialist and has headed the compliance function of a multinational corporation as well as providing compliance consultation for international NGOs and corporations across the EU.
