Petter Nore has a broad background in the energy sector from government, business, academia and multilateral organizations. He is today professor at the High North Center for Business and Governance at Nord University Business School (Norway) and works as a energy consultant. He was formerly Senior Vice President and President of Hydro Russia , Director of gas and strategy in the Norwegian Ministry of oil and energy and Chief Energy analyst in the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Dr. Nore has also worked as Team Leader for Natural Gas in the World Bank. From 2007 to 2013 he headed the Norwegian development project “Oil for Development” working for Norad . He has published extensively in the field of energy and political economy. His main research interest centers around decarbonisation, hydrogen and geopolitics .
